KDE Desktop Environtment

Before you read it, read my previous post about GNOME.
KDE (K Desktop Environment) is a desktop environment (desktop environment) and application development platform built with the Qt toolkit from Trolltech. KDE can be found on various Unix systems, including Linux, BSD, and Solaris. KDE is also available for Mac OS X with X11 coating aid and assistance for Microsoft Windows with Cygwin.

DE KDE, KDE main advantage is the ease of use, flexibility, portabitilis, and wealth of features. KDE is developed in line with KDevelop, software development packages, and KOffice, an office application.

The letter "K" the beginning was to "Kool", but later changed to "K" only, which means "first script before the 'L' (for Linux) in the Latin alphabet."


XFCE
The name "Xfce" originally short for "XForms Common Environment" (common desktop environment based on XForms anymore, does auxiliary devices), DE XFCE, computer blogs but now Xfce has been rewritten twice and no longer use the toolkit. His name is still used, but not anymore with a capital letter "XFCE", but rather as "Xfce". The developers claim that the name is not an abbreviation.
